Job Purpose

The Supplier Performance & Compliance Specialist will independently oversee and ensure the performance, contractual compliance, and governance of IT suppliers. The role focuses on monitoring supplier obligations, including SLAs, KPIs, deliverables, risks and compliance mandates, to promote transparency, accountability, and value generation. An important aspect is the alignment with Qatar Government procurement, governance, and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise adherence of IT suppliers to contractual agreements, SLAs, KPIs, governance policies, and internal organizational guidelines.
• Perform regular evaluations of supplier performance and compliance, along with risk assessments for vendors.
• Authenticate and keep records of supplier deliverables, contract milestones, supporting documents, and payment claims.
• Manage supplier governance dashboards, performance logs, compliance documentation, and risk/action tracking tools.
• Organize and lead supplier performance review sessions, capturing risks, agreed measures, responsibilities and deadlines.
• Assist internal and external audit processes by supplying precise and verifiable evidence of supplier compliance and performance.
• Detect deviations from contracts, performance shortfalls, control weaknesses, and compliance risks; propose corrective solutions accordingly.
• Contribute to the enhancement of supplier governance frameworks, control mechanisms, performance indicators and reporting procedures.
• Establish best practices for documenting, monitoring and securely maintaining contractual deliverables and supplier performance records.
• Collaborate closely with departments such as IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Audit to reinforce supplier accountability and contract reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in supplier/vendor governance, IT contract oversight, performance management, audits, risk handling, or compliance roles.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or related discipline; a master's degree is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in regulated sectors such as utilities, energy or government within Qatar.
• Extensive knowledge of vendor governance, contract compliance, audit procedures, risk management and performance assurance.
• Solid understanding of IT outsourcing, SLA/KPI monitoring, IT contracts, service deliverables and performance tracking.
• Familiarity with Qatar government procurement guidelines, governance frameworks and audit requirements.
• Proficient in ERP or e-Procurement tools like SAP, Oracle or equivalents, with capabilities in reporting and analytics.
• Preferred professional certifications include PMP, CIPS, ITIL, CIA or comparable credentials in governance, procurement or auditing.
