Job description
Overview
We seek a seasoned PMO Coordinator specialized in IT projects to reinforce governance, handle tendering and procurement workflows, and facilitate project delivery for a key client based in Qatar. This role entails managing the entire tendering process and supporting projects from start to finish by working closely with program and project managers, steering committees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT project coordination across phases including pre-project, tendering, award, and post-award to ensure successful completion.
- Assist in the development of tender documents, strategic tender plans, and all pertinent project documentation and submissions.
- Oversee and coordinate the tender and commercial evaluation procedures, securing necessary reviews and executive approvals.
- Facilitate tender publishing activities, making certain documentation and approvals are finalized promptly.
- Support the awarding process and issuance of Letter of Award, coordinating efficiently among involved parties.
- Steer project operations following LOA through to project delivery completion.
- Aid the Program Manager in preparing comprehensive project status reports, management briefings, trackers, and presentation materials.
- Organize and manage meetings involving steering committees, Project Managers, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough documentation including project records, tender files, action trackers, decisions, risk registers, issue logs, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate across technical, procurement, commercial, and business units to facilitate punctual tender submissions and project deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess at least 12 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT tendering, procurement, and project coordination.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Procurement, Project Management, or related disciplines.
- Have substantial experience with IT projects ideally within government, utilities, infrastructure, or large enterprise sectors.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of IT tendering and procurement processes in the GCC region, with a strong preference for Qatar experience.
- Exhibit comprehensive understanding of tender preparation, commercial evaluation, approvals, tender publishing, awarding, and Letter of Award (LOA) procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, capable of producing professional reports and presentations.
- Show excellent organizational skills, superior ability in stakeholder management, written communication, negotiation, and influence.
- Command of English is essential, while Arabic proficiency is advantageous but not compulsory.
