Planning Engineer – Planning & Scheduling (ICT & ELV)

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Planning Engineer specialized in ICT and ELV infrastructure to craft, update, and oversee project schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role requires collaboration with diverse teams to guarantee the punctual completion of engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create and manage comprehensive project timelines with Primavera P6 covering all project stages.
• Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity coding schemes, project milestones, and baseline schedules approved by stakeholders.
• Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to determine critical tasks, identify scheduling risks, constraints, and foresee potential delays.
• Keep track of actual project progress versus baseline schedules and perform thorough variance analyses.
• Develop schedules for recovery, acceleration, revision, and mitigation to counteract delays and adjust to evolving project requirements.
• Assist with Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analyses using accepted methodologies and project documentation.
• Monitor activities across engineering, procurement, material deliveries, construction, installations, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Generate precise weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, S-curves, dashboards, and future forecasts for management and client review.
• Coordinate planning and progress updates closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, procurement, site personnel, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide project teams with schedule forecasting, progress tracking, identification of risks, and support in timely corrective interventions.

Qualifications and Experience

• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in planning and scheduling within ICT and ELV infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
• Robust background in ICT, ELV, systems integration, or technology infrastructure project settings.
• Proficient in baseline schedule development, WBS creation, activity coding, CPM procedures, schedule variance scrutiny, and progress monitoring.
• Experience in designing recovery and acceleration schedules and assessing project progress against approved baselines.
• Good understanding of construction flow, engineering processes, procurement stages, installation, testing, and commissioning tasks.
• Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory. Exceptional analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.
