Supervisor - Systems

Overview

This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to computer systems and software, providing expert advice to tackle business challenges, and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency. It involves operating computer and peripheral devices, managing software applications, and administering user accounts. The incumbent maintains detailed records of daily transactions, troubleshooting efforts, and installations, while also providing training to users on hardware and software usage.

Key Duties

• Troubleshoot and resolve software and system malfunctions.
• Analyze processes and recommend improvements for enhanced performance.
• Operate and integrate computer and peripheral equipment effectively.
• Manage application programs and user account support.
• Record all data communications, issues, and corrective actions systematically.
• Instruct users on proper hardware and software practices.
• Coordinate telecommunications planning, operations, maintenance, and resource management, including client/server support and strategic planning.
• Advise on policies, procedures, technical priorities, and telecommunications methods.

Supervisory and Team Responsibilities

• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluation.
• Assist in discipline, motivation, coaching, and act as an example in adhering to fair treatment policies.
• Promote positive working relationships and teamwork to achieve shared objectives.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard assets.

Operational Standards and Physical Requirements

• Maintain quality standards and recommend ways to boost organizational efficiency, safety, and cost savings.
• Verify information visually and utilize computer/POS systems to enter and retrieve data.
• Handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Education from a technical, trade, or vocational institution.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
