Job description
Overview
We are seeking an Outbound Supervisor responsible for managing daily outbound warehouse functions such as order picking, consolidation, staging, loading, and dispatching with accuracy and timeliness. This role will lead the outbound team, manage workforce allocation, track operational metrics, and enforce compliance with quality, food safety, and workplace safety protocols.
Key Duties
- Direct daily outbound warehouse activities including order picking, consolidation, staging, loading, and dispatch processes.
- Assign manpower effectively according to workload, volume of orders, and shift demands.
- Track and evaluate order accuracy, efficiency, throughput, backlog clearance, and timely dispatch of shipments.
- Address and resolve issues related to outbound operations and discrepancies.
- Liaise regularly with teams across Inventory, Stock Control, Distribution, Transportation, and Quality Assurance departments.
- Oversee proper management of damaged, expired, or temperature-sensitive goods to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the outbound team.
- Compile shift reports and follow through with improvement measures to enhance performance.
- Seek and implement opportunities to optimize warehouse procedures and increase productivity.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience in warehouse, outbound operations, fulfillment, logistics, or distribution settings.
- Proven track record in supervisory or team leadership roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of outbound warehouse workflows and order fulfillment techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related operational tools.
- Familiarity with inventory control methods including FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out), along with food safety and warehouse safety standards.
- Excellent leadership capabilities combined with strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Able to thrive in fast-moving, high-volume warehouse environments.
- Holding a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
