Job description

Overview

The role involves supervising housekeeping activities to maintain high standards across guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as pools. The supervisor monitors cleanliness, manages room availability reports, prioritizes cleaning tasks, and communicates updates about room statuses.

Key Duties

  • Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and pools post-cleaning to ensure quality compliance.
  • Prepare and verify room availability and condition reports.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in room availability, coordinating closely with the Reception Desk.
  • Prioritize housekeeping tasks and update room status after guest check-out.
  • Assist in daily housekeeping department operations and coordinate efforts with Engineering, Reception, and Laundry departments.
  • Document, communicate, and distribute shift change information and task assignments effectively.
  • Support management with hiring, staff training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching team members.
  • Comply with all company safety policies; report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Protect company information confidentiality and safeguard assets.
  • Foster a respectful, supportive work environment, encouraging collaboration to achieve team goals.
  • Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Be physically capable of performing tasks requiring bending, reaching, lifting objects up to 55 pounds alone, and more with assistance.
  • Operate carts and maintenance equipment in varied physical environments including stairs, slopes, and confined spaces.
  • Maintain continuous manual dexterity and motor skills during entire shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors professionally and clearly.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent (General Educational Development, GED certificate).
  • Work Experience: Minimum 1 year in a related role.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of experience overseeing teams.
