Job description
Position Overview
The concierge role is responsible for handling guest requests and ensuring exceptional service during their stay. This includes coordinating special arrangements such as transportation, reservations, and other services by contacting or liaising with the proper service providers. They also assist guests with unique requirements and follow up to guarantee complete satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage guest inquiries about hotel amenities, the nearby surroundings, and special events, providing accurate and helpful information.
- Answer and process guest calls, messages, requests, and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with departments like Bell Services or Housekeeping to resolve guest issues efficiently.
- Review and update shift logs and daily memos to document important information.
- Supervise the club lounge seating, service quality, safety, and overall guest experience.
- Report injuries, accidents, and unsafe conditions to managerial staff and complete safety-related training and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain a polished appearance, and uphold confidentiality and protection of company assets.
- Welcome guests warmly following company standards, anticipate their needs, assist guests with disabilities, and show genuine gratitude to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written formats, and observe proper telephone etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships within the team, supporting collective goals and attending to colleagues' concerns properly.
- Maintain quality assurance standards consistently.
- Be physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for long periods and moving or handling objects up to 10 pounds independently.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum educational attainment: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior work experience required; this is an entry-level position.
- No supervisory experience or licenses/certifications necessary.
