About the Role
The Executive Housekeeper I is responsible for overseeing daily operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry services if applicable. They lead and coordinate the staff to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well-maintained, and meet quality standards. The role entails conducting inspections, enforcing corrective actions, and supporting strong guest and employee satisfaction while managing expenses within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct daily housekeeping operations including scheduling and supervising cleaning activities.
- Maintain efficient communication with the Front Desk regarding guest room status.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to address maintenance requirements promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and uniforms, assisting in procurement as necessary.
- Implement and support inspection programs to ensure cleanliness and order throughout guestrooms and public spaces.
- Handle guest complaints effectively and promote a culture focused on excellent customer service.
- Manage department costs carefully to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Participate in staffing oversight, training, and enforcement of policies, focusing on consistent employee performance and development.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in housekeeping or related fields, OR
- Hold a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no prior work experience required.
