Structural Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Technician with over 5 years in the field to join a reputable consulting engineering firm based in Naas, County Kildare. This expanding practice is recognized for delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering solutions across various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and more throughout Ireland.

Projects

• Residential housing and apartment developments
• Commercial and mixed-use properties
• Healthcare and educational building projects
• Industrial and pharmaceutical facilities
• Project values ranging from €5 million up to over €100 million

Key Responsibilities

• Create precise and detailed 2D structural drawings as well as 3D models using REVIT software
• Coordinate design drawings and models collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other team members
• Support the development of structural detailing packages for a variety of construction projects
• Maintain high technical standards for all drawings, ensuring they meet project specifications
• Work in close partnership with senior engineers and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Level 8 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a structural or civil engineering consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing and construction techniques
• Proficient in AutoCAD and preferably REVIT software
• Experience with BIM processes and multidisciplinary team coordination
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
