Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical BIM Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves developing, managing, and coordinating advanced Building Information Models (BIM) for sophisticated construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure flawless project execution by employing advanced modeling methods and coordination strategies. Excellence in organization and dedication to delivering precise and efficient BIM outputs is essential.
Responsibilities
- Create and sustain detailed 3D Building Information Models utilizing BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or Navisworks.
- Integrate and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the building models to identify and resolve clashes.
- Conduct clash detection analyses and produce detailed reports to assist design and construction teams.
- Develop and manage technical documentation, including drawing sets and construction specifications derived from BIM models.
- Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to uphold BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Translate project requirements into accurate BIM deliverables compliant with building codes and industry standards.
- Organize BIM data effectively, ensuring correct file structures, naming conventions, and version control procedures.
- Support design phases, construction administration, and handover processes by assisting project teams.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to maintain the integrity and accuracy of BIM models.
- Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues regarding BIM processes and software usage.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of professional experience in BIM engineering, architectural technology, or a related construction discipline.
- Expert-level proficiency with BIM platforms such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Navisworks, or similar software.
- Strong capabilities in 3D modeling, visualization, and technical drawing production.
- Thorough understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and leading industry practices.
- Experience coordinating MEP systems and conducting clash detection workflows.
- Sound knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and design standards.
- Skilled in computer-aided design (CAD) software and digital documentation systems.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Analytical problem-solving skills for complex modeling and coordination challenges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with construction administration and project delivery phases is desirable.
- Familiarity with BIM execution strategies and information exchange standards.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications is an advantage.
