Role Overview

Join DesignTech Alliance as a Structural BIM Modeler, tasked with creating precise and detailed Building Information Models for structural elements using Autodesk Revit Structure, aligned with design specifications and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed Structural BIM models featuring columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, foundations, retaining walls, cores, and stairs in accordance with project drawings and engineering instructions.
• Engage in projects including high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and other large-scale buildings.
• Interpret and transform structural documentation such as drawings, sketches, and specifications into coordinated BIM models.
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, modeling standards, Level of Development (LOD) needs, and client requirements throughout the modeling process.
• Coordinate models across architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, perform clash detection, and support resolution of clashes and design issues.
• Conduct thorough reviews of models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
• Generate necessary BIM outputs such as structural plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and detailed documentation.
• Update BIM models and associated drawings promptly to reflect design revisions during project progression.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers, BIM coordinators, BIM managers, architects, and other key stakeholders.
• Assist with preparation, submission of BIM deliverables, and perform model audits and quality control checks to uphold modeling conventions.
• Identify and report inconsistencies or discrepancies between drawings and models to the engineering team.
• Maintain organized model structure including naming conventions, worksets, families, parameters, and coordinate systems.
• Support project teams in meeting BIM coordination and delivery deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail on complex structural models.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in Structural BIM Modeling, ideally within structural engineering or multi-disciplinary consultancy environments.
• Significant exposure to high-rise building projects.
• Proven expertise with Autodesk Revit Structure software.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and building construction techniques.
• Experience modeling reinforced concrete and structural systems for complex buildings.
• Comprehensive understanding of structural drawings, reinforcement layouts, construction documentation, and structural details.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models and resolving clashes efficiently.
• Familiarity with UAE or GCC project standards is highly desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidiscipline project teams.
