Structural BIM Modeler

Overview

Join DesignTech Alliance as a Structural BIM Modeler in Dubai, working full-time onsite. This role involves creating precise and detailed BIM models for structural components using Autodesk Revit Structure, supporting large-scale projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed Structural BIM models based on design specs, drawings, and engineering requirements using Autodesk Revit Structure.
• Model various structural elements including beams, columns, slabs, shear walls, foundations, and other key components.
• Contribute to high-rise and complex building projects covering different usages.
• Interpret and translate structural design documentation into coordinated BIM models.
• Ensure models meet BIM Execution Plan guidelines, Level of Detail standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate structural BIM data alongside architectural, MEP, and other discipline models.
• Engage in BIM coordination meetings and perform clash detection and resolution activities.
• Review models and drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project protocols.
• Produce structural BIM outputs such as plans, sections, schedules, and details.
• Incorporate design modifications promptly and maintain model currency throughout project phases.
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM managers, architects, and multiple project stakeholders effectively.
• Assist in preparing BIM submissions for various project stages and ensure compliance through audits.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies between design data and models.
• Maintain standardized organization of BIM models, including naming conventions and shared coordinates.
• Support timely project delivery and meet BIM coordination milestones.
• Uphold meticulous attention to detail when working with complex structural information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Structural BIM modeling.
• Previous work in structural engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy firms is necessary.
• Significant experience on high-rise building projects is mandatory.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Structure is essential.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
• Capable of modeling reinforced concrete and structural systems for intricate buildings.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction documentation.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary BIM coordination and resolving clashes.
• Prior exposure to UAE or GCC projects is highly advantageous.
• Ability to operate independently and collaborate efficiently within multidisciplinary teams.
