Strategic Underwriter Motor

Key Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio planning, governance, and underwriting excellence initiatives across one or multiple markets within the motor division of HDI Global SE.
• Manage local branch performance through key performance indicators.
• Collaborate in devising and implementing local underwriting strategies.
• Execute and ensure adherence to local underwriting strategies.
• Handle referral underwriting tasks for significant accounts.
• Provide upskilling and training support to local underwriting teams.
• Participate in expert underwriting groups and contribute to building a cohesive global underwriting community.
• Promote cooperation among essential stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Completed academic qualifications or formal training in insurance and finance, with advanced certification as an insurance specialist or similar credentials.
• Substantial professional experience in underwriting, product development, or strategy formulation/portfolio management related to motor risks for industrial and corporate clients.
• Keen interest and experience in an international work environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities with confidence and persuasiveness.
• Strong proficiency in analytical thinking.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
• Fluency in both written and spoken German and English; additional foreign languages considered advantageous.
