Role Overview
As a Senior Cyber Underwriter at HDI Group based in Münchberg, Bavaria, you will independently analyze, evaluate, and underwrite complex cyber risks. You will create customized and innovative insurance solutions that meet the evolving demands of the cyber market. Leading contract and pricing negotiations confidently with brokers, major clients, and other business partners is a key part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessments and underwriting for complex cyber insurance risks.
- Design tailored insurance products addressing dynamic cyber industry requirements.
- Lead negotiations related to contracts and pricing with intermediaries and important clients.
- Continuously monitor relevant market trends and actively contribute to the strategic and product development of the cyber portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with sales, IT, claims management, and external partners.
- Support the creation and delivery of underwriting guidelines and share expertise with colleagues.
Candidate Profile
- Several years of experience as a (Senior) Underwriter specializing in cyber insurance.
- Strong technical insurance knowledge coupled with analytical skills to assess and enhance IT security measures.
- Decisive and confident in handling complex risks and skilled in negotiation techniques.
- Excellent communication abilities with the skill to explain complex subjects clearly.
- Independent, structured, and solution-focused working style with a drive to actively contribute to team development.
- Completed degree in Law, Economics, Computer Science, or IT Security.
