Role Overview
The Store Person will be the essential support behind the scenes, ensuring smooth operations between the shop floor and warehouse. This energetic role requires a hands-on team player comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently loading weekly shipments, including trucks and containers, handling goods with care.
- Assisting customers with order pickups to create a seamless experience.
- Helping the retail sales team by moving stock and products onto the shop floor.
- Accurately receiving and logging goods into the operational system.
- Assembling furniture attentively and with pride.
- Contributing to and maintaining health and safety standards.
- Keeping the store and warehouse clean, orderly, and safe through good housekeeping.
- Working closely with the team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in warehousing and distribution support roles.
- Proficiency with computers, including email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A strong desire to assist customers and achieve results.
- Physical ability to handle products, including lifting and moving various-sized items safely on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication capabilities.
- Dependable, proactive, motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, residents, or possess valid visas allowing work.
- Availability to work Thursday through Monday, including weekends.
