Role Overview

As a Store Manager, you will have full responsibility for running a single Panda Express location. Your duties encompass recruitment, leadership, and directing store associates towards achieving financial objectives and providing outstanding service to guests. Your leadership is crucial to the store’s overall success.

Training and Support

To equip you for this role, Panda offers a comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training program lasting eight or more weeks. Additionally, mentorship and continuous development support come from the Panda network, ensuring you have the resources needed to thrive.

Job Requirements

• Minimum education of a high school diploma
• Flexibility to relocate within a 50-mile radius of your current home
• Availability to work varied schedules including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands
• Food safety certification such as ServSafe

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Store managers will work in conditions where counter areas are frequently hot with steam and food aromas. The workspace may be compact and employees typically stand for extended periods, preparing hot and cold dishes using kitchen tools like Chinese cook knives. Staff must efficiently execute tasks without compromising accuracy, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to four hours while reaching across counters approximately 36 inches high. The kitchen environment is usually noisy, with limited storage and elevated shelving. The role requires effective verbal communication skills, adaptability in a fast-changing environment, and conflict management abilities.
