Job description

Overview

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining visual standards, managing staff performance, recruiting and training employees, organizing schedules, and handling inventory control.

Daily Duties

  • Oversee all store activities and enforce adherence to corporate policies.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the team to meet performance goals.
  • Engage in merchandising tasks including stocking shelves and unpacking shipments.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address complex issues.
  • Implement and sustain visual presentation standards.
  • Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Manage cash handling and open/close store operations as needed.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Carry out management obligations such as managing breaks and attendance.
  • Take charge of hiring processes and staff evaluations.

Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience in retail.
  • Minimum two years’ experience leading a team.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills and sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management proficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
