Role Overview
The Team Leader plays an integral role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations of the retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly lead and supervise store associates by providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
- Oversee merchandising activities including stocking shelves and managing shipment boxings/unboxings.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and promptly address customer complaints.
- Carry out manager-on-duty responsibilities, such as monitoring break schedules, time, and attendance.
- Implement and uphold visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
- Ensure the store environment is safe, clean, and well maintained.
- Manage cash operations and perform store opening and closing duties as required.
- Participate actively in inventory processes and assist in training new employees.
- Follow through on delegated tasks and contribute to recruitment and employee performance management.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- At least one year of experience working in retail.
- Between one to two years of experience in a supervisory role within a retail setting.
- Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Capability to multitask efficiently and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
