Store Delivery Driver

Overview

Join B&Q Norwich as a Store Delivery Driver on a full-time, permanent contract working 36.75 hours weekly with shifts from Monday to Sunday between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. This role involves handling deliveries with a 3.5 ton van, transporting items ranging from single tins of paint to large flooring packs, requiring moderate to heavy lifting.

Role Details

In this position, you will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries to customers' homes, ensuring all items arrive on time and in excellent condition. When not driving, you will assist on the shop floor using technology to fulfill orders and support colleagues. The role demands safety awareness, efficiency, strong customer service, and representing the B&Q brand positively.

Requirements

• Hold a manual UK driving license (Category B/B1) valid for at least one year with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience as a multi-drop delivery driver is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work flexibly on shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
• Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to make clear plans during busy periods.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting safely.
