Stocker - Aisle

Position Overview

This role is responsible for providing efficient and polite customer service while ensuring shelves are properly stocked and aisles are maintained in a clean condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt, respectful, and friendly service to customers.
• Unload boxes from pallets and place items on shelves; open boxes to restock individual products.
• Implement merchandise rotation to prevent expired products on shelves.
• Maintain organized and front-facing product displays on shelving units.
• Conduct inspections in compliance with HACCP standards to ensure product safety.
• Assist with daily inventory reviews to facilitate product rotation and minimize shrinkage or damage.
• Verify shelf pricing to guarantee accuracy and alignment with current market pricing.
• Adhere to a regular cleaning schedule including scrubbing and removing pallets to clean beneath shelving.
• Continuously assess the floor for potential safety hazards, promptly clean spills, and remove debris such as packaging materials.
• Alert supervisors promptly regarding low or out-of-stock items.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
• Potentially support other departments based on operational needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Mandatory use of steel-toe footwear for safety.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds repeatedly and at different heights, including overhead lifts.
• Ability to push or pull loads up to 500 pounds horizontally.
• Strong agility, finger and manual dexterity rated between 80-100% proficiency.
• Regular standing and walking; occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and overhead reaching.
• Work environment includes moderate temperatures and exposure to refrigerated and freezer areas, as well as areas impacted by outdoor conditions near open doors.
• Awareness of moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scooters is required for safety.
