Role Overview
The Stock Coordinator is tasked with managing merchandise reception, inspection, storage, and maintaining precise stock quantities. This position ensures the systematic arrangement of products and facilitates a smooth transition of items from the stockroom to the sales floor. Collaboration with store management, sales associates, and other team members is essential to uphold organizational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Physically and electronically verify incoming merchandise to confirm accuracy.
- Inspect product quality and communicate any damages to store leadership.
- Handle merchandise appropriately to avoid damage during storage.
- Organize and categorize stock as per store guidelines to enable efficient product retrieval.
- Tag new inventory or process returns following senior staff directions.
- Support sales personnel with shelf replenishment to maintain product availability.
- Maintain constant vigilance regarding store security.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness through high housekeeping standards.
- Work extended hours flexibly during sales or festive periods.
- Physically capable of lifting weights up to approximately 10 kilograms.
- Document inbound and outbound inventory and keep accurate records.
- Identify missing price tags and report accordingly.
- Provide assistance during inventory audits.
Desired Background
An ideal candidate has strong organizational abilities and experience with warehouse management systems to effectively monitor stock. Prior experience in stock handling, warehousing, or logistics within retail is advantageous.
