Position Overview

The Steward plays a vital supporting role spanning several hotel functions, chiefly assisting in kitchen and food service areas. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, handling dishware and linens, and providing support in the kitchen, food and beverage outlets, and employee dining facilities. The role demands physical stamina and attention to safety and quality standards.

Key Duties

• Prepare fresh, clean linens and ensure spotless dishware are available for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning and washing equipment such as dishwashers and hand wash stations.
• Transport dishware and related items throughout the hotel efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security protocols, promptly reporting maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
• Greet guests warmly following company standards and communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and guests.
• Collaborate positively with team members to achieve shared goals.
• Uphold quality expectations and standards consistently.
• Physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for long periods; reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds unaided.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• No minimum education qualification required; high school diploma or GED not necessary.
• No prior work experience or supervisory background needed.
• No license or certification required.

Additional Information

Salary offered is approximately £17.18 per hour.
Job location is at Al Emreef Street, PO Box 118500, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
