Role and Team Overview

Druva focuses on delivering scalable modern software powered by AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora DB, and S3, integrating over 30 AWS services. The team emphasizes large-scale solutions, providing petabyte-scale storage with exceptional performance within a Software as a Service suite.

As a Staff Software Engineer reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will drive backend software development, maintain a central platform, and ensure responsiveness to frontend requests, following Agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop core software components for diverse system modules.
• Create and propose design documentation and solutions.
• Utilize AI-enhanced methods to expedite top-tier software delivery.
• Apply strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, code reviews, and functional specification writing.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, fix issues, and refactor as required.
• Tackle complex technical challenges effectively.
• Collaborate closely with team members and cross-functional product units.
• Produce well-structured, efficient, and testable code.
• Demonstrate solid grasp of data structures and software concepts.
• Employ various development tools such as version control systems, ticketing, and build tools.
• Seek assistance promptly to resolve blockers.
• Analyze, understand, and break down requirements thoroughly.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Maintain a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
• Exhibit excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
• Accurately estimate work efforts for assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience with relevant certifications.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Golang; familiarity with Node.js and Python is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and containerization technologies.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and security compliance requirements.
• Experience with authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments.
• Ability to integrate diverse data sources and databases into unified systems.
• Solid understanding of scalable application design principles.
• Familiarity with optimizing applications for different delivery platforms (mobile, desktop).
• Competence in designing database schemas that support business operations.
• Experience implementing unit tests and automated testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
• AWS accreditation is a plus.

Additional Information

• Position requires presence in the Letterkenny office three days per week; candidates should live within reasonable commuting distance.
