Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer with 11 to 14 years of experience to work on enhancing our SaaS product, Cove Data Protection, hosted on AWS. This flagship cybersecurity offering involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using C# and .NET Core framework in an innovative and fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve applications utilizing C#, .NET Core, and associated technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Partner with Architects in service design.
• Produce clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code adhering to best industry practices.
• Identify, debug, and resolve application issues and optimize performance.
• Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peer developers.
• Participate in monthly software releases.
• Mentor junior team members and help foster a culture of ongoing improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 10 to 14 years of professional experience with C# and .NET Core (versions 6-8).
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Good understanding of middleware used in .NET Core environments.
• Experience working with web technologies like ASP.NET MVC, Web API, or Blazor.
• Proficient with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Basic familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is advantageous.
• Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Experience using containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of unit testing and test-driven development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes.
