Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work directly alongside public sector stakeholders to quickly develop full-stack AI solutions addressing urgent public needs, thereby delivering tangible benefits to citizens. Our mission transcends AI solution building: we strive to empower governmental operations with transformative technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead as the primary technical strategist for public sector projects, translating vague mission objectives into detailed architectural plans and directing onsite execution.
• Design essential frameworks for scalable, production-quality AI applications, establishing exemplary integration of interactive front-end interfaces, backend services, and AI models to ensure dependable performance.
• Oversee progressive enhancements to cloud infrastructure, promoting security, global scalability, and enduring system robustness across varied environments.
• Guide the creation of core platforms and shared services tailored to satisfy broad-ranging research and operational demands of global clients.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary leadership to define the technical trajectory, mentor engineers of varying seniority, and maintain alignment with a unified, sustainable architecture.
• Act as a conduit between frontline client insights and core platform innovation by encapsulating practical experiences into reusable engineering methodologies.

Candidate Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent extensive industry experience in architecting intricate distributed systems.
• At least 10 years of comprehensive full-stack development experience including Python, Node.js, and React; with demonstrable success designing scalable architectures using Kubernetes and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven expertise in engineering and managing robust production ecosystems, ensuring best practices in system reliability, security, and scalability.
• Substantial experience in deploying and managing sophisticated, end-to-end AI solutions within demanding high-security client environments.
• Demonstrated history of developing LLM-based applications with strategic insight to anticipate future technology shifts and develop sustainable systems.
• Self-motivated leadership skills capable of navigating ambiguous challenges, mentoring senior personnel, and establishing technical vision.
• Advocate for asynchronous workflows and documentation-centric practices to enhance global engineering effectiveness and minimize operational friction.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Prior roles in startup environments as CTO, founding engineer, or engaging as a forward deployed/dedicated customer engineer.
• Experience in working collaboratively across operational functions.
• Familiarity with Arabic language is an advantage.

Location and Legal Requirements

This position is based in Doha, Qatar. Employment and residency require valid permissions (visas and permits) issued by Qatari authorities. Applicants will need to provide relevant personal information for visa processing. Visa approval is subject to local authority discretion. The company will assist successful candidates in obtaining necessary legal permissions to reside and work in Qatar.
