Role Overview

In this role as a Forward Deployed Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work directly with governmental clients to swiftly construct full-stack AI applications that address their most urgent issues, thus creating substantial improvements for citizens. This position plays a key part in redefining how public sector organizations utilize advanced technology to transform operations and improve public services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for public sector projects by translating unclear mission needs into detailed architectural plans and overseeing implementation onsite.
• Design foundational frameworks for scalable, production-quality AI applications, ensuring seamless integration of interactive user interfaces, backend systems, and AI models to provide dependable results.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure growth with a focus on security, global scalability, and system integrity across environments.
• Manage the creation of central platforms and shared services to address broad requirements across diverse global clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to define and maintain a cohesive, future-oriented technical roadmap; mentor engineers at various career stages.
• Convert practical insights gained in the field into reusable engineering patterns utilized across the wider development organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent substantial professional experience designing complex distributed systems.
• At least 10 years of comprehensive full-stack development experience, particularly with Python, Node.js, and React, including creating robust, high-scale architectures using Kubernetes and major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in architecting and supervising production-grade software ecosystems with a high standard for security, system reliability, and scalability over the long term.
• Demonstrable experience implementing and troubleshooting complex solutions within high-security and demanding client settings.
• Proven ability in building solutions driven by large language models, with strategic insight to anticipate technological changes and design resilient systems.
• Leadership qualities featuring self-motivation, capability to handle ambiguity, mentor senior engineers, and establish a strong technical vision.
• Advocate for asynchronous communication and creating documentation-first cultures to enhance engineering efficiency and reduce cooperation barriers globally.

Preferred Extras

• Background as a startup CTO, founding engineer, or experience in a forward deployed or customer-dedicated engineer capacity.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations teams.
• Fluency in Arabic language.
