Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and scaling Base360.ai, crafting customer-facing applications, automation engines, AI-enabled workflows, and integrations that enhance property management efficiency. You will cover the entire rental lifecycle including listing distribution, pricing, booking, guest stays, operations, and financial reporting.

• Architect and implement scalable applications, microservices, and APIs that manage reservations, pricing, payments, guest experience, and property operations.
• Create event-driven automation workflows to reduce repetitive tasks like scheduling cleanings, sending check-in details, and generating owner statements.
• Develop AI-powered systems that leverage large language models and AI agents to automate guest communication, maintenance triage, pricing decisions, and portfolio management.
• Design API-first architectures to integrate internal services, booking channels, third-party providers, and client systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, among others.
• Deploy and manage reliable, performant cloud-native infrastructure supporting global growth across multiple property management businesses.
• Solve complex operational challenges including real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing intelligence, smart lock and key management, automated guest communication, operational forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting, and AI-powered monitoring.
• Take ownership of projects from problem analysis through architecture, development, deployment, and continuous enhancement.
• Provide senior technical leadership through sound architectural decisions, code reviews, and ensuring system reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering production-quality software systems.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Python, React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of API design, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in designing scalable backend systems and robust data schemas.
• Ability to work independently and make critical technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and a product-oriented mindset.
• Keen interest in AI, workflow automation, and operational efficiencies.
• A proactive attitude focused on shipping features and learning from real user feedback.

Preferred Experience

• Background in short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management software.

• Familiarity with AI agents and event-driven architecture methodologies.
• Experience working with Supabase and AWS serverless infrastructure.
