Position Summary
This role requires expertise in managing electrical infrastructure operations and maintenance with a focus on safety, compliance, and reliability in wafer fabrication facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safe and compliant operation and upkeep of electrical systems, ensure robust change management, maintain precise technical records, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Environmental Health & Safety for regulatory adherence.
- Initiate and oversee risk and safety programs such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash prevention, and permits management to guarantee standards compliance and audit preparedness.
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical issues, manage predictive and preventive maintenance efforts, and enhance system reliability to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Plan and manage electrical load distribution for fabrication and facility operations, supervise proper feeder loading, ensure redundancy and diversity, review and approve electrical designs, and oversee safe commissioning.
- Define acceptance criteria, develop test protocols, witness critical tests, manage vendor performance, and assure documentation completion including operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings.
- Monitor power quality and implement mitigation measures such as filters, SEMI F47 ride-through, and UPS tuning; drive energy efficiency projects like transformer load optimization, UPS efficiency improvement, busway loss reduction, and smart metering analytics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; master’s or doctorate degrees can substitute up to two years of experience.
- At least 6 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in wafer fabrication or semiconductor industry high-volume manufacturing within an MNC.
- Strong technical competency in electrical engineering with familiarity in wafer fabrication facilities favored.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate strong commitment to work responsibilities.
