Job Description

The role focuses on the entire verification lifecycle for ASIC digital power intellectual properties, spanning from conceptual system-level design to tape-out and support after silicon fabrication. Key responsibilities include comprehensive pre-silicon test planning, developing testbenches utilizing advanced verification methodologies such as SystemVerilog-UVM, coverage metrics generation, assertion model and formal verification through property checking. The role also involves applying power-aware UPF verification flows, and creating automation to enhance verification efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with at least two years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Or a PhD in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related domain.
• Over six years’ experience in ASIC design and verification tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Extensive background (6+ years) in digital design concepts and RTL languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Proficient understanding of computer architecture fundamentals, object-oriented programming principles, and C/C++ programming over six years.
• Experience in developing block-level testbench environments using SystemVerilog spanning six+ years.
• Hands-on expertise with verification methodologies including UVM or OVM and familiarity with assertion-based formal verification.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Perl or Python.
• Experience with AMBA bus protocols (AXI/AHB/APB) is desirable but not required.
• Knowledge or practical experience in assertion-based formal verification is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $108,000 to $158,000 annually. In addition to base salary, Qualcomm offers a competitive discretionary bonus, annual RSU grants (with exceptions for those on sales incentive plans), and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support work-life balance and overall success.
