Specialist, Finance Systems

About the Role

We are looking to hire a proactive Finance Systems Specialist to contribute to and support our finance-related initiatives. This position is essential in managing finance projects and providing continuous support for current finance systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with finance departments, IT teams, and external vendors to guarantee systems are implemented, integrated, and supported efficiently within planned deadlines. This opportunity suits a technologically inclined finance expert with project coordination skills, a focus on improving processes, and experience in hands-on system management.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance, Business Units, IT, and vendors to collect business needs and assist in delivering finance system projects and upgrades.
• Manage project tasks including scheduling, deliverables, and stakeholder updates to ensure smooth project execution.
• Document all project aspects such as requirements, workflows, testing strategies, and presentations.
• Assist system rollouts, upgrades, and feature enhancements by validating requirements, executing tests, and promoting user engagement.
• Handle daily finance system support including user access, administration, troubleshooting, and report upkeep.
• Communicate with users, IT, and vendors to identify and resolve system problems promptly.
• Organize and perform User Acceptance Testing for new functions and system improvements.
• Create and update user manuals, training content, and documentation to enhance system utilization.
• Collect and analyse user input to find areas for process and system improvement.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to assess, prioritize, and implement enhancements.
• Promote increased user adoption through training programs, knowledge sharing, and engaging educational materials.
• Identify ways to optimize finance workflows and capitalize on system features organization-wide.
• Support finance operations, including system-specific reviews, controls, and reporting tasks.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to system inquiries.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or related IT/Finance fields.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in finance systems or transformation projects.
• Solid knowledge of finance processes, internal control frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with deploying finance projects or implementing systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or NetSuite is an advantage.
