Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all financial activities for operations in Qatar including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs.
- Oversee financial performance metrics such as revenues, margins, costs, and cash flow, flagging risks and opportunities.
- Ensure accurate monthly financial closings including revenue recognition, accruals, and allocation of costs.
- Analyze deviations from budgets and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations to management.
- Review and validate project expenses in line with contractual and accounting standards.
- Support teams with financial decisions and cost optimization strategies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports adhering to Group deadlines and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
- Coordinate audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Manage cash flow forecasts, collections, payments, and maintain control over financial commitments and bank accounts.
- Assist with contract financial interpretation, compliance with billing and payment terms, and monitor variations or claims financially.
- Lead budget and forecast preparations, liaising with procurement and operations for accurate cost estimates.
- Oversee finance team coordination, supervise accountants, review financial documentation, and maintain data integrity using systems like SAP and SMART.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar disciplines.
- Professional finance certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are a plus.
- Minimum 8 to 12 years' experience in financial management with a focus on project controlling.
- Background in large infrastructure, construction, or project-centric sectors.
- Experience working in the Middle East, particularly Qatar, is preferred.
- Proven expertise managing project finances and collaborating with operational departments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, IFRS standards, and governance.
- Proficiency in SAP and financial reporting software.
- Strong analytical capability, problem-solving aptitude, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Precision, attention to detail, and ability to perform in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
