Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and analytically proficient Product Specialist to join our Crew Systems - Rostering & Optimization team. This position is key to enhancing and evolving systems that manage crew rostering, crew utilization, and operational effectiveness. You will collaborate extensively with internal teams such as Operations, Crew Management, and IT, as well as external vendors, to deliver system upgrades that streamline workloads, increase resilience, and foster operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle for crew rostering and optimization platforms, encompassing gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing, and executing implementations.
  • Evaluate crew utilization patterns, rostering results, and system functionality to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Liaise with technology vendors and internal IT teams to configure systems, implement improvements, and resolve issues.
  • Support deployments, system upgrades, and conduct reviews following implementation.
  • Work in close coordination with teams spanning Operations, Crew Planning, Cabin Services, IOCC, and Network Operations.
  • Drive automation projects and ongoing refinement of crew management systems.
  • Collaborate with designers to create user-friendly interfaces that enhance usability and boost user engagement.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Strong analytical capabilities and adept problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Applicants with a recent degree and solid analytical aptitude interested in complex operations systems are encouraged to apply.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a comparable field emphasizing Optimization is required.
  • Familiarity with technical and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Java, or equivalent is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex models, trade-off analyses, and solver results to diverse audiences, along with strong stakeholder and change management abilities.
  • Prior experience in airline operations like Crew Planning, Crew Control, Operations Control, or Network Operations is considered a plus.
