Role Overview
This role as a Domain Consultant specializes in SOC (Security Operations Center) transformation, focusing extensively on Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex portfolio, an AI-driven next-generation security platform. The consultant will be the go-to technical expert for Cortex solutions, helping customers secure critical business functions through robust security products including Security Intelligence, Automation, XDR, Attack Surface Management, SOAR, and Incident Response.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored customer solutions in the consultant’s specialization.
- Serve as the expert presenter to diverse customer stakeholders ranging from technical practitioners to executives.
- Function as the primary technical liaison for Cortex, aiding in responses to RFIs and RFPs.
- Lead customer demonstrations to highlight unique value propositions.
- Plan and manage Proof of Value projects ensuring successful technical outcomes.
- Drive technical validation and winning results for opportunities within the consultant’s specialization.
- Architect security solutions to enhance and simplify customer security postures.
- Create High-Level Design documents and define Key Use Cases to facilitate effective implementation and realize value.
- Support customers in growing their services around Cortex solutions.
- Lead discussions on cybersecurity industry trends and evolving threat landscapes.
- Confidently compare competitive offerings and position Palo Alto Networks’ products as the superior choice.
- Recommend Palo Alto Networks or partner services to ensure correct deployment and value delivery.
- Relay customer feedback to Product Management and R&D to influence feature development and enhance products.
Team Environment
The Domain Consultant will engage closely with regional organizations to protect their digital environments, leveraging a culture that supports joint success and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least six years of experience in Security Operations or pre-sales/sales engineering in contexts involving SIEM, SOAR, SOC, and/or XDR/EDR technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers, showcasing problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Strong understanding of Security Operations Center processes.
- Advanced expertise in SIEM and/or SOAR platforms.
- Deep knowledge of Endpoint Security XDR/EDR solutions.
- Experience with scripting, preferably Python, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and DevOps practices is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
