About the Role and Client
Join a dynamic Software Engineering team working on the SAM_India Ops project for a prominent client providing diverse, innovative solutions across multiple industries. This role involves supporting software asset management and technology licensing across various major publishers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage software asset information for up to three Tier 1 publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, and SAP, and three Tier 2 publishers including Salesforce, Adobe, Quest, Autodesk, Microfocus, Citrix, Veritas, and Informatica.
- Demonstrate advanced functional expertise with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, and SNOW SLM tools.
- Possess detailed understanding of publisher contracts and software use rights.
- Apply licensing regulations expertly to develop Effective License Positions (ELPs).
- Comprehend license reconciliation strategies including product bundling, suite mappings, and upgrade/downgrade scenarios.
- Understand fundamentals of software discovery, including ServiceNow Discovery overview and discovery model normalization.
- Draft policies and procedures related to Software Asset Management.
Technical Experience
- In-depth knowledge of software licensing and usage rights for leading Tier 1 vendors like Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, Adobe, Citrix, and SAP.
- Skilled in generating IBM Sub-Capacity Mainframe ELP reports.
- Experienced in preparing Oracle database server and options ELPs, along with manual reconciliation and deployment validations.
- Hands-on experience with at least one Software Asset Management (SAM) platform such as ServiceNow SAMPro, Flexera, or SNOW License Manager.
Professional Attributes and Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative team player capable of adapting to shifting schedules and office presence requirements.
Educational and Certification Requirements
- Fifteen years of full-time formal education.
- Certification as a Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) preferred.
Additional Information
Candidates should be willing and able to work shifts and attend the office as required.
