Associate Engineer – Manual Testing

About the Role

This role is positioned at Level 12 as an Associate Engineer and is based in Kochi, Kerala. The position focuses on manual testing to guarantee software quality and requires a close collaboration with various teams to gather requirements and execute test cases. The ideal candidate will be a junior-level professional with a solid understanding of manual testing principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehend and analyze project needs along with acceptance criteria.
• Create, document, and carry out manual test cases for software applications.
• Carry out Functional, User Interface, Regression, and Smoke testing.
• Detect, document, track, and validate defects during the defect life cycle.
• Organize and prepare necessary test data for effective test execution.
• Work collaboratively with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Assist in release procedures and upkeep of test documentation.
• Suggest improvements to enhance testing workflows and overall productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a graduation degree is required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience specifically in manual testing.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in manual testing techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is advantageous.
