Associate Software Developer

About the Role

We seek an Associate Software Developer to join our Research & Development Decisioning team based in Glasgow, UK, working on our industry-leading Decisioning portfolio. This role offers the chance to work with modern tech stacks, including React for user interfaces and Go for microservices, in an environment focused on high-quality, secure, and performant software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, and testable software within project timelines, adhering to R&D best practices.
• Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams such as managers, developers, UI/UX designers, and product owners to ensure functionalities meet requirements and maintain development standards.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling, track task progress, and communicate any blockers to stakeholders promptly.
• Ensure software quality through comprehensive functional, unit, and performance testing, supporting testing teams with detailed reviews and input on test plans for updates.
• Take ownership of the full software lifecycle, supporting both internal teams and external users.
• Work with technical writers to produce clear design and technical documentation suitable for all audiences.
• Follow all relevant security policies to uphold the organization’s secure software development standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Some professional experience in software development or programming is generally expected.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• A proactive self-starter attitude demonstrating creativity, initiative, and independent work management.
• Willingness to expand skill sets across various disciplines like development, professional services, and analytics.
