About the Role
The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) is dedicated to advancing Singapore's national security through cutting-edge products employed in areas such as counter-terrorism and computer network defense. Our software product teams require a robust platform and infrastructure to streamline delivery and boost productivity. We seek skilled platform engineers passionate about creating excellent developer experiences to help build and enhance this essential platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features and automation for our developer platform encompassing cloud services and APIs supporting application development and deployment.
- Collaborate across software development teams to enhance software delivery efficiency and performance.
- Work alongside other platform and infrastructure teams to integrate our platform smoothly with private cloud services.
- Write well-structured code, take part in code reviews, and actively give and receive technical feedback.
- Continuously improve availability, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and incident response for platform and infrastructure components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of two years' professional experience in software development using general-purpose programming languages such as Python or Java.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of API design and experience in constructing and managing APIs.
- Background in developer-centric systems, cloud services, infrastructure automation, or DevOps/SRE roles.
- Understanding of designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
