About the Role and Team
The Global Test Engineering (GTE) team at Dell Technologies is focused on creating advanced test automation solutions for AI servers and storage product manufacturing. The team is innovating to transform AI rack-level testing into a scalable, AI-driven, and secure platform to accelerate time-to-market for cutting-edge AI infrastructure powering leading AI enterprises.
This role is an outstanding chance to participate in this modernization at a crucial time and to help lead the development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software systems that align with Dell's manufacturing and business goals.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate in an Agile, innovation-driven team environment promoting continuous improvement.
- Partner with product and manufacturing teams to gain comprehensive knowledge of server and storage platforms.
- Create software solutions that are scalable, secure, and robust, suitable for high-volume manufacturing settings.
- Integrate and influence the adoption of Agentic AI technologies to boost development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers to uphold excellence in engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of foundational software engineering principles, including proficiency with programming languages, operating systems, and system-level operations.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, coding, and debugging complex scalable systems, along with leadership and mentoring roles.
- Familiar with various programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms.
- Strong grasp of how systems, networks, OS, and application layers interact.
- Proven capability to rapidly learn new tools, technologies, and platforms combining formal training and practical exposure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in manufacturing environments, test automation systems, embedded software, firmware, BIOS, or device-level software is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development methods or automation workflows is considered a plus.
