Internship Overview

As part of Mint AI’s engineering team, you will actively contribute to live systems from the outset. Your work will involve developing applications and models that drive our Arabic-centric AI platforms, culminating in deployed code, completed experimental cycles, and insights into practical AI implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop features across the front end, back end, and AI model integrations within our applications.
• Create prototypes for Arabic language tools using open-weight models and data retrieval pipelines.
• Assist with fine-tuning and evaluation experiments using Arabic datasets, including dialectal variations.
• Collaborate in curating, cleaning, and labeling high-quality Arabic training and evaluation datasets.
• Produce reliable tests, documentation, and scripts to ensure the robustness of our AI systems.
• Participate actively in code reviews, agile sprint routines, and research discussions with senior engineers.
• Commit to continuous learning and transparently report model limitations, even when outcomes fall short.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluent in Arabic (both written and spoken) as the primary working language, along with professional proficiency in English.
• Strong alignment with Mint AI’s core values (the Mintality).
• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, AI, or a related discipline.
• Proficient programming skills in Python; familiarity with TypeScript is advantageous.
• Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts and interest in large language models (LLMs); experience with PyTorch or Hugging Face is a plus.
• Able to discuss personal or academic projects in detail.
• Proactive attitude and comfortable asking questions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
