Role Overview

As part of Revolut’s Technology team, you will develop robust systems and user experiences crucial to our operations. This role involves crafting mobile APIs and microservices, perfecting critical modules used in risk management, fraud mitigation, and payment processing. Our tech stack includes Java 17/21, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.

We prioritize lean frameworks, maintainable and clean code, and fast delivery using practices like Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Design, and continuous integration/delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement mobile application APIs.
• Develop microservices to enhance and evolve system architecture.
• Improve and maintain core business-critical systems such as risk management, fraud detection, and payment processes.
• Engage in greenfield projects as well as incremental improvements to existing systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in backend development.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with a proactive, ambitious, and results-oriented mindset.
• Capable of effective collaboration within fast-paced team environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Fluent English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Kotlin or Scala programming languages.
• Previous experience in financial services or fintech environments.
• Work exposure in startup or scale-up settings.
• Experience operating within product-driven teams.
