Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Software Engineer specializing in DevOps to enhance our cloud infrastructure capabilities and accelerate customer success. This role involves designing and managing secure, scalable cloud environments primarily on AWS and Kubernetes, delivering production-ready solutions tailored to enterprise customers. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success, Enterprise Support, and Product Engineering teams in a hands-on capacity, combining cloud expertise with customer engagement in a Sydney-based position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain robust, secure cloud systems on AWS and Kubernetes platforms.
• Automate infrastructure setup using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Enhance reliability, performance, security, and scalability of client cloud environments.
• Implement best practices in cloud security including IAM, network configurations, encryption, and access management.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Automate operational tasks and environment provisioning processes.
• Set up observability frameworks encompassing logging, monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
• Manage release cycles and configuration controls for production systems.
• Operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters and optimize containerized workloads utilizing tools like kubectl, Helm, and ingress controllers.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers to support deployments and foster operational improvements.
• Translate technical requirements into actionable implementation plans and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Assist in incident resolution and troubleshooting within cloud and Kubernetes contexts.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide feedback aimed at enhancing product deployment experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in cloud computing, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud application deployment.
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities with Linux systems, container technologies, networking, and distributed systems.
• Prior customer-facing technical experience in banking or financial services is highly valued.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen ability to learn rapidly and adapt within a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of cloud security fundamentals.
• Proficient scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

• Exposure to other cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Certification in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or AI/ML.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or data-centric workloads.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, or data governance standards.
• Knowledge of Generative AI frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, MiroFish, or OpenClaw.
