Role Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer is a senior technical leader accountable for designing, deploying, automating, and continually enhancing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, monitoring solutions, and operational excellence frameworks. This role works closely with Platform, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Product, and Test teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions. It drives DevOps maturity and champions automation and best engineering practices enterprise-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable cloud platforms on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Define cloud governance including networking, security, identity management, and platform standards.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Administer and optimize container environments, including Kubernetes platforms.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment architectures.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and release procedures.
• Promote DevOps principles, developer enablement, and self-service platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and support Site Reliability Engineering practices like SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, vulnerability remediation, patching, secrets management, and compliance enforcement.
• Partner with Cyber Security to ensure solutions are secure-by-design and meet governance standards.
• Provide technical mentorship, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to architectural and technology roadmap decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence across teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• At least 7 years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud or Platform Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated capability managing enterprise-level cloud environments.
• Proven track record with automation, DevOps methodologies, and platform engineering transformations.
• Experience leading cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives.
• Background supporting production systems in high-availability contexts.
• Familiarity with Agile software development environments.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes, or Terraform are highly valued.
