Command Ops Systems Inc. is seeking a talented software engineer to join their team full-time, with a significant role in shaping the future technology of the company. Responsibilities and Duties
This role involves working exclusively on proprietary software, taking on significant engineering duties, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the platform. Responsibilities include:
- Writing high-quality code and solving challenging problems.
- Collaborating closely with the company founder and influencing critical decisions.
- Challenging existing assumptions, proposing improvements, and engaging proactively in team discussions.
Technical Expectations
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern software engineering principles and some experience or familiarity with backend development, web applications, API design, databases, cloud infrastructure, systems integration, security best practices, AI and large language models, and working within production SaaS environments. However, we do not require mastery of all these areas; rather, we expect a good foundation, the ability to rapidly learn, and strong problem-solving skills.
Experience and Qualifications
- No strict minimum years of experience.
- No mandate to have worked at renowned tech companies.
- No computer science degree required.
- Open to both seasoned professionals and early-career candidates capable of delivering high performance.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is a full-time role, requiring candidates to devote their primary professional attention exclusively to Command Ops; freelance or side project arrangements are not suitable.
Compensation
The expected salary ranges from CAD 100,000 to 150,000 annually, with the possibility of equity grants for key long-term contributors.
