Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to create detailed low-level technical designs and implement solutions for priority product requirements.
• Estimate story points and apply analytical skills to develop user stories planned for sprint releases.
• Present design concepts and workflow plans during team meetings.
• Engage in thorough code and test case reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Participate actively in scrum ceremonies, identify risks, define scope, and develop expertise in core technical areas.
• Attend critical project meetings involving clients, authorities, and product teams to assist in delivering effective solutions.
• Maintain high coding standards by enforcing code quality, test coverage, and eliminating technical debts through peer reviews and the use of specialized tools.
• Develop and deploy assigned stories, ensuring end-to-end delivery from coding to deployment.
• Commit to continuous self-learning to stay updated on new technologies and directions set by functional teams.
• Identify and communicate risks promptly in collaboration with senior engineers and managers to ensure smooth project development and rollout.
• Adapt quickly to changes in technical direction and collaborate effectively to onboard new requirements.

Software Engineering Contributions

• Implement software based on planned high-level and detailed designs.
• Enhance code quality, scalability, and design architecture.
• Offer consultative insights to senior engineers, product personnel, and management on engineering practices.
• Tackle complex technical challenges and push boundaries for innovative solutions.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers, providing guidance in design and coding practices.
• Maintain close alignment with product requirements and deliver code as committed.
• Perform impact analysis and partner with validation engineers to enhance product quality.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives and forums within the organization.
• Serve as an individual contributor on scrum teams while supporting peers and interns.
• Assist with deployments and production support activities.
• Continuously develop professional skills through workshops, conferences, and webinars.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• 3 to 6 years of overall engineering experience.
• Proficient in Java, J2EE, JSP, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, CSS, PL/SQL, Kubernetes.
• Experienced with DevOps practices and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with tools such as JUnit, SonarQube, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Jira.
• Database experience with Oracle and MySQL.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and web application development.
