Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer with over five years of substantial, practical software development experience to become part of our team based in Dubai. This role requires more than just familiarity with frameworks; we desire a professional with a profound understanding of software engineering principles, who approaches challenges methodically, solves complex problems, and can deliver dependable, maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Demonstrate ownership by proactively identifying issues, conducting thorough investigations, and implementing effective fixes.
- Design and develop robust systems ensuring high standards of quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate real-world requirements into technical solutions.
- Make autonomous, well-reasoned technical decisions while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
- Stay technically curious and updated on current frameworks, tools, AI-assisted development, infrastructure advancements, and emerging technologies.
- Leverage AI tools intelligently to enhance development efficiency without compromising engineering fundamentals.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum five years of intensive, hands-on experience in software engineering.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical prowess.
- Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including system design, architecture, APIs, testing, debugging, security, and writing clean code.
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, Python, PostgreSQL, MySQL, REST APIs, and contemporary backend architectures.
- Expertise in database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Proficient with Git and standard professional development workflows.
- Experience with automated tests and debugging in production environments.
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps concepts such as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, Linux, monitoring, and production troubleshooting is advantageous but not required.
