Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing engineering team skilled in agile software development practices.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leadership, and various company stakeholders, leveraging excellent communication skills.
• Develop strategic plans alongside product management and architect and implement critical features for our mobile platform.
• Own all phases of the software lifecycle including architecture, design, deployment, and release.
• Gain deep insight into Amazon’s ordering, fulfillment, and affordability domains and work with interfacing teams to build optimized systems.
• Design, develop, and be accountable for pioneering India-first features and programs that delight Indian customers and have global applicability.

Required Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• More than 8 years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices across the software/hardware/network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build procedures, testing, certification, and live site operations.
• Proven experience collaborating with product or program management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Effective communication skills to interact with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, articulate software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience in recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers to enhance their abilities and productivity.
