Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with interdisciplinary Amazon teams to ideate, design, and launch innovative products and services.
• Develop advanced technologies within a large-scale distributed computing environment, contributing to industry-shaping changes.
• Implement solutions capable of running predictions on distributed systems with high speed and scale.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant storage, indexing, and query systems that are cost-effective and user-friendly.
• Transform broadly scoped problems into well-designed, coded solutions.
• Contribute actively within agile software development processes to deliver high-quality software.

About the Team

The Selection team powers Amazon's Subscribe & Save program by determining product eligibility and subscription terms across millions of subscribers and multiple countries. This team processes over a billion weekly offers, applying complex rules across numerous data points to generate accurate, auditable product selections that increasingly personalize the customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience excluding internships.
• Minimum 2 years designing or architecting systems focusing on design patterns, scalability, and reliability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years experience in full software development lifecycle activities, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operational responsibilities.
