Site Surveyor

Overview

We are seeking a qualified Site Surveyor proficient in civil engineering surveying to join our team in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The role involves executing precise field measurements and surveys essential for construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute thorough site surveys to gather precise field data and measurements.
• Conduct setting-out and alignment processes based on approved engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Measure levels, distances, elevations, and coordinate points accurately at project locations.
• Generate, update, and maintain survey documentation including reports, sketches, and field records.
• Liaise effectively with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, contractors, and other on-site staff to coordinate survey activities.
• Ensure site conditions conform to approved plans, identifying deviations and reporting discrepancies.
• Support monitoring of construction work to assure adherence to specifications and drawings.
• Maintain surveying tools and equipment in proper working order through regular calibration and upkeep.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of survey data for reference and reporting.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards during site operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant field experience, or
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of practical field experience.

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of site surveying and civil measurement techniques.
• Ability to interpret civil engineering blueprints and layout plans.
• Experience using surveying equipment such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS and DGPS.
• Understanding of levels, coordinates, and setting-out processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all measurements.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Willingness to travel and operate at various project sites as necessary.

Preferred Experience

Candidates familiar with infrastructure development, construction sectors, industrial, or engineering projects will be given preference.
