Overview

Located in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the entire Asia-Pacific region's shipping operations by collaborating across multiple departments and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing both domestic and international shipment processes, ensuring alignment with customer instructions and company protocols.
- Generating and validating crucial shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other export-related paperwork.
- Ensuring export documentation complies with requirements under Letters of Credit (LC) to facilitate timely financial transactions.
- Collaborating with Customer Service, Planning, Warehousing, Production, and other internal teams to guarantee accurate understanding and delivery of shipping requirements.
- Checking shipping directives for adherence to contract and customer-specific obligations.
- Coordinating shipment logistics with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other partners to arrange and resolve shipment-related issues.
- Tracking shipment timelines, proactively communicating any delays or status updates to relevant parties.
- Assuring export and shipping documentation complies with trade laws, customs rules, and company standards.
- Preparing export shipping documents within SAP software as per regulatory standards.
- Supporting customs clearance by supplying accurate documentation and responding to inquiries from logistics vendors or customs officials.
- Addressing shipment discrepancies and documentation or customer queries promptly.
- Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting shipping accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Contributing to the creation and upkeep of export transportation procedures and document filing systems.
- Implementing controls to guarantee compliance with local and international transport and customs regulations along with company policies.
- Performing additional logistics and shipping responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Logistics or a related discipline.
- Experience ranging from 2 to 5 years in shipping, export logistics, or roles involving international trade.
- Proficient in preparing shipping and Letter of Credit documentation.
- Knowledgeable in Incoterms, international transport processes, and import/export regulations.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of the transportation service provider environment.
- Knowledge of safety, security, and regulatory standards for materials and products on both local and global levels.
- Strong grasp of supply chain workflows and their interdependencies.
- Expertise in Incoterms, handling dangerous goods, customs laws, and local transport compliance.
- Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
