Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

As a Process Technician at the Pioneer Encapsulation Plant on a one-year contract, you will be entrusted with operating chemical production equipment and managing complex processes to manufacture fragrance products adhering to quality and safety standards.

• Execute commissioning and qualification tasks for production machinery.
• Operate chemical production equipment independently to carry out manufacturing processes.
• Select, transport, and load raw materials or intermediates into production units.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure adherence to customer specifications, identifying deviations and documenting them according to SOPs.
• Follow bill of materials and formula guidelines to measure and add ingredients in the correct sequence and quantity.
• Produce products safely and consistently as per predefined procedures to meet quality criteria.
• Monitor control instruments and maintain precise operational records.
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and suggest corrective measures.
• Prepare finished or semi-finished products’ packaging for subsequent processing or dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and organized production environment, performing sanitation and housekeeping duties.
• Comply with all applicable regulations and internal safety standards, including GMP and OSHA.
• Provide on-the-job mentoring and training to new and less experienced operators.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 25 kg.
• Flexibility to work a 3-shift, 12-hour rotation schedule.
• Minimum educational qualification of GCE “N”/“O” Level or equivalent; alternatively, NITEC/Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or manufacturing-related fields.
• Secondary education with substantial experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing environments is also acceptable.
• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in pharmaceuticals, chemical production, or related manufacturing sectors.
• Basic understanding of chemistry principles.
• Experience with forklift operation or forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fundamental knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Distribution Practices (cGDP).
• Basic proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
• Experience using RF devices is preferred.
